I just finished Khaled Hosseini's second masterpiece and I am at cross roads of trying to pen down what the pages made me think and feel. Interestingly, I still haven't completed the Kite Runner but this one, I couldn't put down for a second. The first thing that strikes you about the book is the fact that it is the story of the lives of 2 women amidst a battered Afghanistan, spanning several decades, but more importantly, it is a story written by a man, completely from a woman's perspective.

Setuju jeng... Nyawa orang bukanlah sesuatu yang bisa dipermainkan.. mungkin yg membuat lelucon tersebut tidak bisa membayangkan, bagaimana kalau para korban itu adalah anggota keluarganya? Atau bahkan, bagaimana jika si penabrak itu adalah anggota keluarganya? Pasti dia juga gak akan tega... :(

Although a divorce law may have a lot of advantages, there are also disadvantages to be considered. Some couples divorce for certain reasons; the reasons may be good or not. I just don't think it's a good idea to enact that law.
